Making your first moves in Scorpion Solitaire

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Take a moment to read the table. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Try a more deliberate round

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Understand the aim

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Before making a move, check the cards in view.

Step by step

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Complete same-suit king-to-ace runs to clear them from the tableau.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How your actions work

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use another round to revisit a decision. Use the rule sheet as a reference.

A useful example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Watch out for this

For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.
