How to play Sevens

Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

An idea for your next attempt

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.

The goal to keep in mind

Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens.

From the start of a round

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

How to interact with the game

The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. The game area remains available above the explanation.

One way to understand the rules

Read the position before choosing your next action. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. The game area remains available above the explanation.

Notice this detail

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.
